DAIRY COWS.

TO THE EDIIOB, Sib,— Will you allow me through- your < valnable columns to call the attention of the Inspector of Dairies to a cow a gentleman and myself assisted to lift off the fence on the Canal reserve the other day. She had tried to get into the Smallpox reserve, and her state warranted her in making for that establishment, the one side of the head being literally one massof running matter. She waa giving milk, and is one of a large dairy in the neighbouring district. Particulars I-^an. furnish, and the t bought of this cow's milk being used by families caused me to call attention to it, lest dißease might be caused by the use of the same. — I am, Ac, AN EYE WITNE3S.
