Civil Service Examinations.

[Pkb Pkbs3 Association.] , WELLINGTON, Sei>t. 19. The following regulation, under the Civil Service Reform Act, 1886, is gazetted : — " A candidate whose work at any senior Civil Service examination is good on tho whole, but in one or two subjects is below the required standard, may be registered as haying achieved a partial success at the examination, and on giving the requisite notice may at the next examination sit without payment- of fee to be examined in such one or two subjects ; and such oandidate, if successful in such subject or subjects shall be deemed to have passed the examination."
