Cure Boating Club.

The annual meeting of this Club was I held at the Mandeville Hotel on Wednesday evening. There was a large attendance, the Vice- President, Mr Marshall, in ■ the ebair. The balance-sheet showed \ receipts, .£52 5s lid; expenditure, iJSI 18s 2d, leaving a credit balance of 7a 9d. The assets of the Club are estimated at .£351 ; j liabilities, nil. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows : — President, the Mayor, Mr Hanßen ; Vice- President, Mr D. M. Marshall; Hon Secretary, Mr W. E. Parnham ; Treasurer, Mr J. H. Keetley ; Captain, Mr Hume; Custodian, Mr J. Perrin ; Racing Committee, Messrs Perrin and A. Winterbourne. The following new members were elected : — Messrs H. Bonnington, G. S. Matthews, C. Garrard, G. Simpson, H. Best, T. Caverhill, G. M'Gregor and A. Pearce. The opening of the season was fixed for Saturday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. Mr J. Winterbourne waa made a life member in recognition of Mb services to the Club. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
