Bankruptcy.

~i'xK Pbxss Association.] AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. At a meeting of A. Laybourne's creditors to-day, a long report, made by Mr Arthur Hassall, was read. It stated that his examination of the books in the estate showed that some of the entries were of questionable character, and that it was evident the irregularities were the result of design rather than incompetency. It waa also evident that the debtor was insolvent at the end of April, 1889. It was decided to print the report prior to the adjourned meeting.
