« THE SCHOONER WAITEMATA. [Spkciaii to Pbkbs Association.] MELBOURNE, Juhjc 19. The schooner "Waitemata had her port bow crashed in, and f oretop apacs carried away in the collision with, the steamer Flinders at the heads on Monday night. CaptainrOhlfien had a narrow escape. [Per Pbsss Association.] NAPIER, Junb 19. The body of a man named John Brough has been found in the inner harbour. Deceased was boots at the Terminus Hotel. There are no marks of violence. His watch had stopped at ten minutes to seven. The body had not been long in the water. WELLINGTON, June 19. The evidence at the inquest on Swede showed that he was a very hearty eater, and on the night of his death had consumed a large quantity of salt meat. DUNEDIN, June 19. Robert Kathews was killed yesterday at Romahtapa through an engine falling on him. [from our own correspondent.] KAIAPOI, June 19. Samuel Clothier, a farmer at Kaiapoi Island, was found dead in an outhouse at his residence, at ten o'clock this morning. Constable Cartmill has gone to the house. Dr Murray states that Clothier undoubtedly died of heart diaeaae, from which he suffered. An inquest is not likely. Deceased was sixty-five, and an old colonist highly respected here.
