[Pub Pbbbs Association.] HASTINGS RACECOURSE, June 20. The weather is threatening rain, and is bitterly cold for the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Steeplechase Meeting. The attendance is large, and the course in good going order. MAIDEN STEEPLECHASE, of 8} sots. Detainer (Ellingham) 1 Porotawa , , ,„ 2 Onalow , ,„ 3 Defamer got away with a good lead, and maintained it to the finish, although Porotawa at one time pressed the leader. Dividends—lnside, £2 sb,- outside, £1 19s. I Time— Smin 15sec.
