MOVSMIHTB Or THE UMION B.S. CD.'S STEAMERS. Thubsdat (This Day).— ThoWaihora arrives early from the boath and leaves at night for Wellington, Napier, Gißborne, Auckland, and Sydney. The Penguin arrives about 8 a.m. from Wellington, and leaves for Akaroa and Duuedin in the afternoon. The Bingarooma leaves about S p.m. for Dunedin. The steamer Lindas was loading produce yesterday for Australia. Yesterday the steamer Centennial renewed her acquaintance with the Port of Kyttolton under the house flag of J. O. Ellis, of Newoustle. The Albion, •jb she was called when sho traded on this coast before, has lately undergone extensive alterations, and indeed, save tne euell, very little of the Albion is left. New boilers and engines of a modern type have been supplied to her, and her saloon, whioh always was a nice roomy and woil ventilated apartment, has b*en thoroughly renovated and re-flttad, and 1b now done up in a stylo which compares favourably with anything running in the intercolonial trade. It has been leugthoned by 20ft, and no expanse spared to furnish it. Her second saloon la nl»o a nice snug apartment. Mr Sayer, her chief utowaxd, supp.ies tha fallowing report of the voynge. Lett cydney on May 9at 18.20 pjn., arrivud at. Auoklana at 2 a.m. on May 14, and left ag&in at 5 SO p.m. on the following day. Called atOisborne, Napier, and Wellington, and •ailed from thelatter port at 11.15 p.m. on Tuesday. Experienced light westerly winds »nd fine weather until passing North Cape, and tnence fatrong •atterly winds and heavy head seas with tbiok rainy weather to Auoklatd, followed by strong Southeast winds and very heavy Bejs from Napier to Wellington ; thence flue weather to arrival, aha leaves to-day for Dunedin, taking cargo and pas. sengers at reduced rates, the particulars of which can be ascertained from her agents, Messrs Kineey and Co. Her officers are :— Captain Leasing, in command; Mr terrier, chief officer j Mr Svenßon, second; Mr Walker, chief engineer; MrHamUton, second: Mr Ellis, third; chief steward. Mr W. Sayar. A good deal of interest was manifested in her arrival, and a hugs number of people aasombiod on the wharf to see her in, one and all noting the altered appearance between her and the mail picket whioh some years ago was bo well known a the port QfLyttelton.
