Hails close as under for the following places (tubjfcot. to the cecoßeary alterations) :— Saturday, May 11. For Northern Ports, per Takapuna, at 7 F.m, ; guard's vau, 8.15 p.m. Tuesday, Mfay 14. For South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Kurope (specially addressed "per Kiinu. takaonly,") and Northern Ports of New Zeiland. per liotoraa, as follows :— Ordinary letters afc 8 X>.m. ; books and newspapers at 7.50 p.m. ; registered letters, 5 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train. Note. — Parcels will to received ui> till 5 p.m. , This mail will be due in London on J une 27. On and after May 13 tha following changes will ba nuice in tho hours of closiiig mails for despatch by trains :— For tha i Sain South Line mails, including all officeß between Christohurdi and , Timatu. afc 7 a.m.; and for Hakaia, Athburton, i Orari, Temuka, Timaru. and southern offices, at 10.15 o.in. For tha Southbridge Line, mails will close at 7 a.m., and for Little Hirer Line end I Akaroa at 7 a.m. on Montlhya, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. For Walvern Line, mails will cloee at 3 p.m. on Mondnyß and ThurtdnyH.
