Miss Ackerman's Lecture
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Will you allow me through your columns to thank the Rev J. O'Brien Hoare for taking the chair at Miss Ackerman's lecture last evening? It is indeed a treat to a large number of Church of England laymen to see one of their clergymen take such a prominent position on the side of temperance. — I am, &c, A CHURCHMAN.
