Shakspesian Society. — A Society of this nature, in connection with the Eangiora I4terary and Debating Society, •was inaugusrated on Monday evening with an excellent lecture on the great poet, delivered by Mr_T. W. Eowe, M. A., President of the Society. There was a good attendance, and the speaker received unabated attention throughout, and a cordial vote of thanks at the close for the treat lie had given. At the next meeting the firßfc two or three acts of "As You [ Like It " will be read and analysed by the i members.
