ACCIDENTS.

A boy named Edwin Clarke, aged about fourteen, whose parents reside in Tuazn atreat, was picking cones from some pine trees in Hagley Park on Saturday afternoon, when he fell, and alighting on his bands, fractured both arms below the elbow joint. He was at once removed to the Hospital, where he is doing well. Yesterday morning a lad named David White, aged about eleven, mas riding after some sheep in the neighbourhood of the Fort Hills read, when he essayed to jump the horse across a creek. The horse refused, and the lad fell off. In doing so the horse either kicked or accidentally knocked him in tho face, thereby smashing his nose and inflicting a severe wound across his cheek. The lad was promptly taken to the Hospital. Yesterday forenoon a horse in a buggy took fright at the advent of the New Brighten tram with which he came into collision, nearly opposite the Linwood Town Board Office. There were four occupants of the buggy — Mr Skinner and his daughter, Mr and Mrs Hogg, visitors from Dunedin. The buggy was smashed, but though the ladies were considerably shaken, no serious injuries were sustained by them or the gentkman. (Pbb Fbbss Abeooiation.l OAMAETJ, Jan. 6. John Dewhurst, who has lately been acting as private tutor at Omnrama, fell out of an upstairs window at tho Criterion Hotel early this morning, and died shortly afterwards.
