WOODEND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

Thia Society held their Spring Show yesterday, when they were favoured with beautiful weather. The Show was a very good one, especially considering the .weather o£ the past few weeks. There was a splendid collection of cut blooms, the exhibits of Mesara Blackmore (gardener to the Hon H. S. Greason), Hewitt and Mrs Stackwood being specially fine. The pansies of Mr Hewitt were highly praised by the Judges. The vegetables were also very good, and the fruit and pot plants fair. The Judges were Messrs Norman, Donald, Robson and Turner, and their awards gave every satisfaction. The following is the prize list :— Four plants— Mr, Hewitt. Foliage plants —Mr Hewitt.
