[Per Peess Association.] DUNEDIN, August 9. At a meeting of the creditors of Joseph Eausby, late niastei* of the Hawea, who was arrested and brought back from the Bluff, ib was resolved to allow him to proceed to Melbourne. In his evidence, the bankrupt stated that he had eout .£l6 or .£l7 to his wifo in Melbourne by the purser ot! the Mauapouri, and had yiven £S to Warbrick, tho footballer, to take care of bis gold watch. He had given £5 to Huddleston, a traveller, of whom he knew nothing beyond that he sometimes stayed in Wellington. "*
: Landslips at Seacliff. — Tho Dimediu Herald h»3 the following : — It is said that the rain has caused cracks of considerable? extent in. the Seacliff Asylum ground'j, and further that the line in placea in the neighbourhood of Seacliff is gradually slipping towards the sea. The kerbing at one end of tho platform of the Seftcliff station shows that the ground on whioli the etatiou otands has ehiffced Jjodily for a considerable distance since the line was made.
