Federal Court of Appeal.
Cut fcono ? We have the Supreme Courts the Court of Appeal, and, in the last re* source, the Privy Council. Yofc there are people 'with imaginations bo powerful.that they believe the machinery of the law is insufficient. They want another Court of Appeal between our own and the Final Court, so that in future our road to the ultimate bar of the law in London shall be not direct, but byway of Sydney, or Melbourne, or Adelaide. The only peraons who would benefit are the lawyers — not of New Zealand for they can* not practise in Australian Courts— but of Australia. The only persons to suffer would be the unfortunate suitors, already distracted with the varied multiplicity of small arguments, and terrified with the monotonous piling up of large coßts. Let ub resist all attempts to enlarge the paradise of lawyers.
