« £Peb Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND, August G. The annual meeting of members of the Axickland "Racing Club was held to-day. The balance-sheet showed a credit halance on profit and loss account of £76 14s. The report states that during the year the Club had disbursed .£7320 in stakes, but there had been a considerable falling oft . in the net profits owing to bad times. MessrsMitchelson,Phileon,Dickey,Morrin, Russell," and Major Walmsley were reelected members of the Committee. At a special meeting of the Club the Metropolitan code of rules was adopted. TIMAFvU, August 6. Tho annual meeting of tha South Canterbury Jockey Club was held tonight. The report showed, that the Spring Meeting had been most successful. Th 9 added money given at the Spring and Autumn Meetteg3 was i>lo2Bl The year was started with a debit of .£251, which waa now reduced to £71. It was decided to hold twd meetings during the coming season, the first to be a two days' meoting in October (show week) next. The report and balance-sheet wero unanimously adapted. Meesrs Jonas, Gninnes3, Gunn, and Smith were re-elected members of the Committer, Mr E. T. "Rhodes Chairman a-nd President, Mr T. Teschemaker Vice-President, and Mr J. A. Gracie Treasurer. Apjnications are to ba invited Tor the post of Secretary, vice Ivlr J. G. Itf-Piierson resigned.
