The Premier stated yesterday that tho Public Works Statement will be delivered after the Native Bills are disposed of. Ib appears that although Mr Lawry has had no communication with Ministers on the subject. Government have taken up his Font Brood Among Bees Bill, which will in future be under the control of the Hon T. W. Hislop, and will be pushed through, if possible, this session as a Government Bill. This action, it is understood, ia taken at the inptigatlon of the New Zealand Beekeepers' Association, between whom and Government communications have been passing on the subject.
