Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necflsaary alterations):— Friday, Hay 18. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Fiji Islands, Cape of Good Hope, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c, per b.b. Botorua, aa follows .—Ordinary letters, at 7 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 7.15 p.m. ; books and newspapers, 6.30 p.m.; money orders, 4p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m. : guard's van, 8.15 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on June 25. Saturday, May 19. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipu, at 3,20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.nii ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. ForOtago.per Hauroto, at 19.30 p.m.; lata fee letters, at 12.45 p.m. ; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Forts, per Koranui, at 7 p.m. ; guard's Tan, 8.15 p.m. train. For Northern Forts, per Doric, at 3.20 p.m. • late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's Tan, 4 p.m. train. POST OFFICE HOLIDAY. Thursday, May 24, the Queen's Birthday, will be observed as a close holiday. Mails usually dispatched on that day will close at 8 o'clock on ■Wednesday night. A count t delivery of con*. spondence usually delivered by letter carriers will be made from nine to ten o'clock on Wednesday night.
