By Telegraph to Heaven.

« The Neiv Zealand Times says : — At the Wellington Spiritualists' Association rooms the PresidentoftheAssociation(MrW.M'Lean) delivered an interesting lecture, entitled " From Here to Heaven by Telegraph." There was a large attendance, and Mr Russell, Vice-President, occupied the chair. Mr M'Lean, in opening, explained that the subject cf occult telegraphy was creating considerable interest in America at the present time, and the proprietors of the Religio-Philosophical Journal had engaged the services of an eminent professor to investigate the matter. After six months' investigation, the professor had proved that an ordinary Morse telegraph instrument could be operated upon by means of animal magnetism, propelled or extracted from the body of » medium ; and that intelligent messages conld be received through the sounder of J the instrument, although tbe key might be locked up, and in such a position that no person could operate upon it. Some illustrations were given by the lecturer by the aid of a Morse telegraph instrument which had been lent for the occasion. In I conclusion, Mr M'Lean said that although it might not appear to them that they woro able to send messages to Heaveu, they had a perfect right, until the exact location of Heaven was made known, to say that they Bent messages and received replies from persons who once lived amongst them, but who now lived in Heavon. A hearty vote of thunks was Jiccorded to ths lestimsr for his able and. interesting d.scoursi'. It was stated that a series of circles would be held for the purpose of further testing tho matter.
