CHRISTCHURCH FOOTBALL CLUB.
The Christchurch Football Club's annual meeting was held at the Christ's College Orderly-rooms laat night. About fifty-five members attended. Mr J. E. Evans took the chair. Mr L. Cohen, Hon Secretary, read the twenty-firßt annual report of the Club, in which be regretted the severe loss to the Club in the death of the late MrW. V. Millton. The Club's first fifteen had played 9 matches last year ; lost 4, and drawn 3, scoring 11 for the Club, against 19. The second fifteen played 9 matches, won 3, lost 4, drawn 2 • 58 points were scored for, and 2J points against the Club. Q^e third fifteen played 12 matches, won •£, lost 6, drawn 2 ; 49 points were scored for, and 43 against the Club. The fourth fifteen played 4 matches, won 1, and lost 3. Messrs Beswick, Haast, Harris, and Turnbull had played for the Club in the interprovincial matches in the North Island. Mr G. Harris, Hon Treasurer, read the balancesheet, showing the Club's funds to be in a satisfactory state, with _812 10s 8d credit balance in hand. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The following officers were elected : — President, Mr E. J. S. Harman; Captain, Mr H. E>. Mathias; Vice-Captain, Mr J. M. Turnbull ; Secretary, Mr L. Cohen ; Treasurer, Mr G. Harris ; Committee, Messrs Fuller, Beswick, Wilkinson, and Webb ; delegates to the Kugby Union, Messrs Beswick, Cohen, Fuller, and Mathias. Certain amendments on rules, and new rules, were passed. About 15 new members were elected. Saturday, March 17, was fixed for the opening day, and a smoke concert waa held to celebrate the majority of the Club.
