The Escape of Mr Jasper Pyne.
LONDON, Jak. 17. It has transpired that Mr Jasper ' Pyne has effected his escape to England. Mr Pyne, who is the member for West Waterford, was charged with inciting resistance to the Sheriff, and in order to prevent his being arrested he fortified his — residence, Lisfarny Castle, and after holding out for- some time succeeded in escaping. Lord C. Beresford. It is rumoured that Lord Charles Beresford is about to resign his position as a Lord of the Admiralty. The Melbourne Exhibition. The Lancashire manufacturers are very dilatory in the way of preparing exhibits for the Melbourne Exhibition, and Continental manufacturers are also displaying a luke-warni spirit in the matter. Sir Vincent Barrington has returned from Berne and Amsterdam, where he was only moderately successful in obtaining exhibits. The Markets. The market rate of discount is unchanged.
