THE WATERS ESTATE.

WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. At a meeting of the creditors in the bankrupt estate of W. E. Waters this afternoon, a resolution was proposed to resist the claim of the City Advance Company for j82200. Four creditors voted in favour of the motion and three against it, but as the latter had a majority in value, the motion was negatived, and the matter left to the Official-Assignee to decide what action should be taken. All the local Volunteers have been called out to attend the funeral of the late Hon Wi Tako on Sunday.
