TRAINING NOTES.

o This Morning's Work. Ric-carton, Wednesday, j Another beautiful morning and the tracks in good condition. Kelson commenced with a fair half-pace gallop over three miles, afterwards walking much as usual. Fair Nell, looking much improved by her spell, cantered twice round in nice style, and Teredo and Eed Ensign covered a mile at a good pace. Torrent went a couple of miles, galloping very strongly, but making a great noise, and Water Queen, Mistake, and Most dOr performed ordinary work. Sextant and Gipsy King traversed two miles at three-quarter speed, and -finished fast, the bay colt more than holding hie own throughout. Isaac was sent a mile and a half at a steady pace and Kose and Black did similar work. Vandal and Carbine cantered to the top of the straight, and then came home fast, the Musket colt seeming to havi the beet of

the gallop. Apropos went twice ronnd at a strong pace, and was then picked up Sonuneil, and carried along at top for sir furlongs. Apropos moved with great freedom, and finished well. Bard and Silvermark brushed along smartly for a mile, the former beginning very dottily, and taking some driving along to keep with the three-year-old. Moana and Leon were associated in a fast mile and a quarter, one round being completed in 2min 2sec. Leon kept on for another mile at a Blower pace, and Moana returned to the sheds apparently a bit sore. A light bay could nob extend Artillery in a gallop twioe round, but the Cup favourite looked sound and well. Tit Bit and Secretary went a mile and a half fast, the hurdle racer being of very little use to hia companion. Eegina went two miles and a half at three-quarter speed, and Euby and Vaultress covered a mile fast. Euby is looking particularly well. Eepose put in a smart mile, and Sultan was sent twice round at half pace. Lorraine, Bronte, and Molly Bawn were confined to walking exercise, and Kimberley, Wakatipu, and Meteor did easy werk. Rosebud galloped a mile and a half smartly, and the Wave gelding and Wairuna did similar work. Several unimportant gallops followed.
