GRAIN AND PEODUCE. The. continued fine weather ia enabling farmers to get in their seed -under mo3t favourable circumstances. Reports are favourable of the autumn-sown trops. Business is very dull, and can hardly be otherwise with values at nearly all the outside markets ruling so exceptionally low. The General elections tkrabtteas interfered to some extent with business daring the week, but with no export demand only a hand-to-mouth enquiry can be looked for. Whbax is selling in email parcels at late quotations, i.e., 3s 5d to 3s 6d for Tuscan and Pearl ; Ss4d for Hunter's, second quality 3s to Ss 2(1. OAis.—Heavy feed are worth 1b 9d to Is 10d ; bright milling to Is Hd; whilst inferior to good feed range from Is 6d to Is Sd. Baeiey.— Stocks of malting are exhausted, little lots of second quality move at 3s 3d to 3s Oil. Gbask Sbcd.— Ryegrass has bean in little de- ■ mand, the season having passed. Cocksfoot sells in small parcels at late quotations, say id to 4\& for good to medium Keed; 4id for extra heavy. Peas and Beans are In very slight demand, for the former a few sales of seed samples may be noted. Prices are unchanged. Potatoes are still utterly neglected, late Sydney quotations were 25s per ton for New Zealand grown. No iquotatioa can be givan that would really show the state of the market. Daibt Produce. — Butter is in excess of demand. Cheese stocks seem to have accumulated to such an extent that, even with the large quantities auctioned each week and several shipmonts to England, supplies are much in oxcesu of demand. Prices are almost nominal, say Si to 4Jd for really good quality.
