ARRIVAL OF THE lONIC.
The lonio arrived at S o'olock thia afternoon fetim London. Left jtheDoeks on August 11, Plymonth on August 13, audJbad northerly winds and fine— eather tb Teneriffe, where she arrived early on August 18. Left again at noon same day, crossed the Equator on August 25, and reached the Cape on tha morning of Sept. 4. Left: same day for Hobart, and during portion of the voyage had moderate winds and fine weather, but the latter portion experienced' Btrong W. awl S. winds. Arrived at Hobarijai&SO-p.in. oa Sept. 23, and left aa,-ain- at midnight for here, experiencing variable winds withshoweryweather. Tha actual time of the voyage was 45 days 2 hours 13 minutes. The lonio comes out under oommand of Captain Kidley, formerly of the Coptic, and it is understood that Mr Bruce, formerly chief offioer of the Coptio, has been appointed to command that steamer. Tha lonic hrmgs 15 first class, 27 second clasa, and SO chirdclaas passengers for all ports. Passengers for Canterbury— Saloon.: Mr and Mrs A.E.
