The tea can be purchased at intervals, and in quantities to efctit convenience, from lib upwards, a voucher being given to each purchaser at the time of purchase, to be returned with list of words, as representing vouchers covering the purchase of 41b of tea and upwards. This is a rare opportunity by whioh to celebrate Her Majesty's Jubilee— Parents and Guardians, Sffitors, Brothers, Cousins and Atmts will be hereby enabled to afford valuable instruction, industry and refiiaed amusement for winter evenings to themselves and friends, coupled with the delightful prospect of obtaining one of the above Goldeu Prizes. NOTIFICATION OF POSTPONEMENT. At the urgent requoat of many competitors, the date of closing the Word Competition has been oxtonded to October 20. In answer to Correspondents re postponement—Supplementary Lists will most certainly be received and admitted up to day of closing. Competitors will please note that the word "Canterbury" is a comparatively easy one, only a few hundred words being possible. No letter except B oan be used more than once in the formation of a word. No repetition of words spelt the same way will be admitted.
