This Morning's Work.

Kiccarton, Wednesday. A hard frosb this morning did not prevent Cutts and Pilbrow putting in an appearance with thoir teams some time before daylight, and while the stars were sbill looking down on the scene, Nekon was sent a long gallop at three-qnarte* speed. The big chestnut did not move quite so freely as he had done earlier in the week, and subsequently walked very lame. Lorraine, going a trifle short behind, put in a couple of rounds at a moderate pace, and Cruchfield, Red Ensign and Bronte followed with similar wprk. Hont dOr and Mistake did a smart gallop once round, the Jatter pulling up very lame. Kimberley and Wakatipu covered two and a half miles at a good strong pace, Kimberley lookingjand going better than his companion. Fair Nell made two rounds a]one at three-quarter speed, pulling her boy out of the saddle the whole of the way. Torrent was sweated. Derweuter and Ravenecraig went twice round the plough in company, the former requiring a lot of driving along. Meteor led Captain Wheeler rather more than a couple of miles at nearly top. Adulation was on her best behaviour, and after cantering was sent a smart four furlongs in nice style. Gypsy King and Repose went three miles the reverse way, and^ Hermitage led Isaac and Sextant in a half-paco gallop twice I round the plough. Kepose covered I a mile and a half fast, making one round lof the tan in capital time. Vandal, with the colours up, was again spurted the ■ reverse way with Carbine. Artillery was [.then stripped, and, after cantering a mile, was joined by Tit Bit, and taken once round the tan at top., Tit Bit was in trouble from the iump, and Artillery drew away at the top turn, and came horn« ia lmm GTi'sco, one of the best gallops of the season. Secretary and Sultan, after cantering separately, were associated in a half -pace gallop once round. The colt wa3 evidently lame behind, and Secretary was able to hold hi* own throughout. Moana was indulged with easy work, and Kuby, the Wavegelding, and Vaultress went through theii usual routine.
