At the start the pace was slow. la passing the 6tand the first time Dunlop, Frisco, Kitawa, and Pasha, were together. Kitawa then led for some distance, with Dunlop next, the latter afterwards taking the lead and holding -well to the front up the line. The pace quickened at the turn for home, where Acolyte was leading, closely followed by Cardigan, and a terrific race ensued, resulting in a win for Cardigan on the post by a short head, Upper Cut a length away, and the others bunched together. Time — 3min 382-sec. THE A. J.C. OAKS, of 26 soys each, 5 ft, with 300 soys added ; second horse to receive 50 soys from tiie prize; and third to srvo stake. For three-year-old iiUies, Bst 101 b.
