Sydenham.

Mr E. M. Taylor addressed a meeting of the electors of Sydenham last evening in the Selwyn Street Schoolroom, Mr Hoban in the chair. After the candidate had given his views on the various topics of the day, and several questions had been put ana satisfactorily answered by the candidate, Mr Skinner moved a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Taylor for his address, and his services in the past, and that this meeting expresses its fullest confidence in Mm as their future representative, which was duly seconded and carried by acclamation, there being only four or five dissentients. A hearty vote of thanks to tbe Chairman terminated the meeting.
