Cheviot.

Mr J. D. Lance addressed the electors of the Cheviot district, in this locality, at the Oddfellows' Hall, Amberley, on Tuesday evening, Sept. 13. Mr J. S. Woodhouse was voted to the chair. Mr A. Greig proposed a vote of thanks and renewed confidence in Mr J. D. Lance. This was duly seconded by Mr Jesse Wilson and carried unanimously. A vote of thanks was recorded to the Chairman, which terminated a most orderly meeting.
