Assault Case. — Thomas Anderßon was charged with assaulting F. W. Cos. The accused, who was brought up last week, and, on JOtr M'ConneFs application, remanded to Sunnyside, was brought up this morning, and a further remand was asked for by Mr M'Connel. The prosecutor stated that he did not think the accused was responsible for his actions when he attacked him. The accused appeared very strange at the time. The prosecutor asked him to get into bed, but the accused insisted upon dressing. Afterwards the accused seized a tomahawk and rushed round the house, the prosecutor following him. It was when they^ dosed that the prosecutor was struck with the tomahawk. Mr Cox Baid he did not wish to press the charge. Mr Beetham remanded the accused in order to allow Dr Thomas to examine him as to his condition.
Njsw Zealand Pickle and Preserving Companst. — On the application of Mr Kippeuberger, an order dissolving the Company was granted by Mr Beetham.
