NORTH CANTERBURY STEEPLECHASE MEETING.
A meeting of the Stewards of the North Canterbury Steeplechase Club, was held at the Crown Hotel, Amberley, on Saturday. Seven tenders were received from bands, offering their services at the approaohing race meeting of the Club. The tender of the Addington Workshops Band was accepted. Mr George Coletnan Laving resigned the office of Clerk of the Course, Mr T. H. Lance was unanimously elected in his place, and it was decided that in future the whip of the Brackenfield Hunt Club Bhould act as Clerk of the Course.
