Mulhall, the British statistician, says that daring the Victorian reiga Ireland has lost by famine 1,225,000 people ; by eviction, 3,6G5.,000 ; by emigration, 4,186,000. The evicted constituted 75 per cent, of the whole population. There are four or five marriageable Princesses in England.- More trouble for the taxpayers.
