Wreck of a Steamer.

NAPIER, August 24. The p.s. Tongariro, a vessel of about 50 tons, quite recently brought to run between Napier and Mohaka, went ashore at two o'clock this morning, about a mile north of the Mohalra river. She is expected to become a total wreck, the latest report being that she ia breaking up. She is partlyowned by Mr Pack and the captain. The insurance is unknown. No loss of life is reported.
