Pbebbleton Horticultural Society.— The annual meeting of the Prebbleton Horticultural Society was held on Thursday evening last. Twenty-one members were present, and the President, Mr Morshead, occupied the chair. The balancesheet, which was very satisfactory, was read and adopted, and a hearty vote of thanks passed to the Secretary, Mr F. East. Dr Cook was chosen President, and Mr F. East was re-elected Secretary and Treasurer. The outgoing Committee were re-elected, Messrs Stockell and White being substituted for Messrs Leigh and Jennings. MrComerford wbb requested to act as Assistant Secretary. It waa decided to hold the summer show in December and the autumn show in March, the latter at least a fortnight later than in the previous year. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Morehead for his valuable services as President. It was resolved that the next annual meeting should be held two months earlier. A vote of thanks to Dr Cooke terminated the meeting.
