TO-DAY'S TELEGRAMS. THE PREMIER AT AUCKLAND. GREAT ENTHUSIASM.
[Speoiaii to the "Stab."!
AUCKLAND, July 217.
An important effoot was produced by Sir Robert Stouf a address. The meeting at first waa very chilly and generally apathetic, but Sir Boberfc Stout Bat down amidst general cheering. One persistent interrupter was chucked out, and from that time to the end of the speech great attention was shown. When Sir Eobert Stout stated that he owed all his education to the parish school, there was an extraordinary outburst of enthusiasm. Cheers rang out again and again, and stopped him when he re-commenced his Bpeech. A very weak article in reply appears in the Herald this morning, dwelling chiefly on the wrongs of Auckland inflicted by the Stout Ministry.
