SOUTH CANTERBURY DISTRICT. The members of the various Committees of Foresters in South Canterbury met at Timaru last week, and it was resolved to request the different Courts to appoint delegates to consider the question of making a South Canterbury District. After the question had been fully considered by the Lodges, the following delegates were appointed : — Bros Kitchener, P.C.R., Adams, C.R., and Atwell, Waimate; Bros Anderson and Stowell, St Andrews; Bros J. Hall, P.C.R., and J. Burford, P.C.R ... Timaru. These delegates met on July 20, at the Foresters' Hall, Waimate, Bro Adams, C.R., presiding, | and it was resolved to establish a district, consisting of Timaru, Waimate and St Andrews, to be called the South Canterbury District. The following District Officers were appointed-.—D.C.R;, Bro Jacob Hill; D. Treasurer, Bro J. Burford; D. Secretary, Bro Burd ; Trustees, Bros E. H. Lough, G. Courtis, and G. Anderson. The District Officers were empowered to draw up rules and submit them to a District meeting, it was agreed that the next meeting should be held at St Andrews.
