Mr Garrick and the Ashburton Woollen Factory.

The following letter is reprinted from the Lyttelton Times of this morning : — TO THE EDITOR. > Sir, — In your issue of to-day, Mr Garrick is reported to have said to the St Albans electors, when speaking of Preetrade, that " the Ashburton Factory had never turned a wheel." Mr Garrick hag evidently been misinformed. The Aahburton Woollen Factory commenced active operations in October, 1885, and has worked full time ever since, employing (on an average) 100 persons. — I am, &c, GEO. H. GREENWOOD, July 23. Chairman of Directors.
