A SAD FATALITY.

[Per Press Association,] DUNEDIN, July 22. A. shocking fatality occurred laat night between Riveredale and Waimea House. A party of servants in the house were returning from a party in a trap when the horse bolted. One of the women, named M'Kane, who was cook at Waimea, got entangled with the wheel, and was dragged along the road. The accident happened at eleven o'clock, but the trap waß not found till this morning, when Miss M'Kane was found dead and fearfully mutilated, her feet and dresa being fast to the wheel. Another female, named Campbell was badly hurt. The driver ia said to hare been the gardener at Waimea.

The name of the girl who was killed at Riversdale by the buggy accident was Isabella M'Kane. The other girl in the trap, Isabella Campbell, was a good deal injured, and is in rather a serious condition. The girls and the diver, Samuel Rouston, weie engaged at Waimea a3 servants.
