GOLD AND SILVER.

TAUEANGA, July 21. A fire broke out this evening in a building stored with sulphur from the White Island, and the property of Mr Wilson, Judge o£ the Native Land Court. The fire was suppressed, but the origin is unknown. Gold and silver have been proved to exist in a large reef in the Tepuke district. A test is being made as to whether the reef will prove payable.
