POST-OFFICE SAVINGS BANES
From a return laid upon the table of the ! House to-day, I learn that during the year ending Dec. 31 last there were 277 Post Office Savingß Banks open, the total deposits amounting to JG1,245,405, and the withdrawals to £1,336,287. In 1885 there were 261 'Savings Banks, with deposits amounting to j61,341,C01, and withdrawals to .£1,264,305. The returns for the principal towns during 188G were : —
