The annual meeting of- householders .at Heathcote Valley was held on Monday evening. Reports were handed in by the outgoing Committee, which were found to be of a very satisfactory nature. The following were elected as a Committee for the ensuing year : — Messrs Sykes, Dixon, Bennetts, Sandford, junr., Beazlcy, Alford, ana Hardley. At a meeting of the newlyelected Committee Mr Sykes was elected Chairman. A most successful gathering in connection with the Juveniles of the Loyal Perseverance Lodge, 1. 0.0 P.M.U., waa held in tbe Society's Hall, Woolston, on Wednesday evening. P.O. Bro Garnett (Presided) and Bros M'Diarmid and Aylward, P G.'s, were the vice- Chairmen. Complimentary tickets were issued to the mothers of the Juveniles, members of the adult Lodge, and | others, wbo came in large numbers. The juveniles and their frienda entertained their parents and visitors in a most hospitable manner. A number of loyal toasts, Ac, were given and responded to by members of the adult Lodge in a most hearty manner, and I several ladieß and gentlemen kindly con--1 tributed to the evening's enjoyment by vocal selections, step-dancing, recitations, &o. Framed certificates, given by P.G. Bro Garnett and VG. Bro A. Orr of the adult Lodge, were presented to Bro Allan Wilson and Bro Thomas Carlyle, P.G. and N.G., of the Juvenile Lodge, by P.P.G.M. Bro Foster, who, in a few pertinent remarks, explained that this was the first presentation of the kind that had been made to the N.G. of the Juvenile Lodge, and expressed a hope that those coming on would strive to bo conduct themselves that, after their eighteen months of office, they would be worthy to have a like distinction bestowed upon them. The National Anthem concluded a very plea-ant evening.
