Important Cabinet Meeting.
THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
[By Telegraph.] [from our own correspondent.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. The Ministers were in Cabinet in Sir J. Vogel's room for the whole of this afternoon. Amongst other subjects discussed, was that of the representation of the Colony at the Imperial Conference. On this head, however, nothing was decided, excepting that Sir William Fitzherbert should be authorised to act as Commissioner if Le goes Home on hia own account. This the Premier, however, states does not in any way preclude other delegates being selected. It is understood that at least three of the Cabinet are opposed to Sir R. Stout going Home. Another Cabinet meeting will be held tomorrow afternoon, when it is expected that a definite conclusion will be arrived at as to who else shall attend the Conference. Amongst the subjects discussed at the meeting, that cf the estimates for next session was on- ..!•' the most important.
