MATORAL ELECTIONS.
RAMBLINGS OF A NATURALIST. UNEMPLOYED MEETING— DISOEDEKLT PROCEEDINGS. AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. The Mayoral election at Onehunga yesterday resulted in the re-election of Dr Scott. The numbers were : — Scott, 140 ; W. F. Wilson, 63 ; majority for Scott, 77. The Newton Borough Mayoral contest resulted as follows :— K. T. Warnock, 188; F. Hastings, 118 j majority for Warnock, ■70. Herr Beischek, the naturalist, left today on an extended tour in search of rare Native birds in the Taupo district and the country lying between Wanganui and Lake Taupo. He afterwards proceeds to Wellington, from which place he will be taken by the Government Bteamer Stella to Southland and the West Coast Sounds. He will be accompanied by Luther Eemmer. Another meeting of the unemployed was held this morning, and was attended by above 150. The meeting was addressed by
