THIS DAY. [Peb Pbbss Association.] TIMARU, Jukh 23. The enquiry into the wreck of the ship • Lyttelton was continued to-day. Captain j Bill, of the Grafton, was examined at oonI siderable length. He threw no light upon . the cause of the accident, but said he could ' not tow the vessel to sea in the direction : he wished, because the tow rope was not paidjout fromthe Lyttelton quickly enough. At the luncheon adjournment his examina- j tion in chief was concluded. The enquiry . will not be finished till the end of the week, j if so soon. j
