This match was played on Saturday afternoon on the College ground, and ended in a victory for East Christchurch by three goals and three trieß (18 points) to ml. MfcRIVALE v. STDENHAIL This match was played on the North Park on Saturday last, and, for the first time since the formation of these Clubs, Merivale, contrary to expectation, proved j victorious by eight points to 2. The match, Christchurch third v. Boys' High School, resulted in a win for the latter by nine points to four. The following played well for Chri6tchurch : — Ward, | Currie, Lightfoot and Eich ; while F. and \ W. Wilkinson, Ford and Moir played well I for the school. 1 In the match played at Kaipoi, be- ' tween the Woodend first and Kaiapoi ! second, the former won by 13 points to nil. ( In the match, played on Saturday at j Kaiapoi, between Kaiapoi and Kingston j juniors, the former won by six points to 1 wH. Tho match between the Christchurch and South Canterbury Clubs, played at Timaru on Saturday, ended in a win for j the former by a try to nil. The score ! was obtained by Haast. Christchurch ; played a very weak team. j
