ENOUGH EVEN FOR SCETPICS.

LONDON " CHEISTIAN GLOBE." Highly interesting acoonntrs hare appeared lately in a number of professional and other publications of the marvellous reoutta attained in the cure of certain painful diseases (which bare hitherto been classified as incurable), through the medium ol an external remedial agent. These accounts are so well authenticated as to leave no doubt of their absolute truthfulness, and the efficacy of the remedy. Upon analysis it is found that one of the principal ingredients of the preparation in question is an oily substance extracted from the leaves of a Bpecies of pine tree by a patented process. This may account for the fact that the remedy has become known as an oil, the trade mark being " St JacobOil." Among numerous surprising cures wo investigated and verified two in particular, either of which is sufficient to leave no doubt of the immense value of this discovery. One is the case of a man wh? has been treated at numerous London and other hospitals for a number of years, where not only did he receive no benefit, but hia case was pronounced incurable. Here was rheumatism of the most aggravated description, drawing up the joints and rendering the patient a helpless cripple. At one of the institutions in Derbyshire where he received treatment he enjoyed the benefits of all the advantages, baths, mineral waters, &c, at the command of the same, and after all was discharged as inourable. A friend's attention having been called to an article in a London newspaper upon the subject of this oil, a trial was suggested. The first bottle produced a marvellous change, and after two week's use he was cured and again at work, after having been incapacitated for a number of years. The other case spoken of is that of a man who had been employed in the Central Fish Market, London. His was either chronic rheumatism, or a very strong predisposition existed in that direction. At one time he was for three years helpless, having to carry his arm in a sling. He was treated at three different hospitals, and ab all these institutions, after long, skilled, and careful treatment, his case waa pronounced absolutely incurable. His landlord, hearing of St Jacobs Oil, prcoured him a bottle. After three days' nse he could take his arm out of the sling, and move it without pain. Continuing the application, all pain, swelling, and stiffness entirely disappeared, and he is now cured and at work again. With such experiences and indorsements as the foregoing, it is impossible to say too much in favour of thb oil ,- and the most sceptical can need no further proof of the astonishing efficacf of this discovery.
