[By Telegraph.] [from oub own correspondent.] NASEBY, June 17. A scraping np of the Otago Central Company's battery, at Eough Ridge, has been made, with a result of 730z of retorted gold from 65 tons of stone. A quantity of amalgam was left on the plates, so that the total yield ia between 26dwt and 27dwt per ton. This is 100 per cent better than the last crushing. The battery w,ill crush four or five weeks longer. There has recently been a change in the battery management. The reef is from 6in to 18in in width, and improves in quality every foot. The level is driven to the hill.
