Burglary at Auckland;

» [Bx Telegraph.] £froh our own correspondent.] AUCKLAND, June 12. A <»ang of daring burglara have been at vork°here in a systematic manner since Thursday morning. Porter and Co'a branch ironmongery store in Symondß street was broken open, and a safe containing JEII in cash, besides valuable books and papera, was carried off without any pereon hearing a sound or any mark being left on the floor. It now appears that the burglara, having broken into the store, earned the safe bodily into a cab, which Tra3 waiting outside, and drove off to a spot near the lunatic asylum, where the safe was broken open, with tools previously stolen from Munro's blacksmith's shop. ag-vnat them. Three men, Ryan, Connell, and 'A'atts, were arrested on Friday night, brought up at the Police Court on Saturday, morning, and remanded till Tuesday. A fourth man, named Trowin, was arrested on Saturday morning, charged with being concerned in the affair. Some of the prisoners are previously convicted thieves. Three men, Alfred Watts, Patrick Ryan, and John Connell, have been apprehended on a charge of burglary and breaking into Porter and Co.'s ironmonger's shop, and j stealing a safe and JEII, also breaking into a blacksmith's shop and stealing tools. They were brought up at the Police Court to-day and remanded.
