Thu Day. Before C. Whitefoord, Esq., R.H., and H. J. Hall, Esq.) Dbunkhkness, &c. — Charles Felt admitted having been drunk in Colombo street on the previous afternoon. The evidence showed that the prisoner had been very violent when arrested ; he had assaulted Constable Cullen, and damaged his great coat and shako to the value of £2 17s. He was fined 15s in all, with 5s coete, and £2 17s to repair the damage. — Mary Kennedy was Beverly cautioned and discharged. Civil Cases. — Judgment was given for plaintiff by default in the cases of Hallenstein Bros. v. Orchard, claim JE3 14s 6d ; Howard v. Lean, claim JEII 14s ; and Stringer v. Swanston, claim KG l»s. — Linney v. Hcn3ley was adjourned to Monday next.
