A tel^^ram was read from the Auckland police, in which they say Mrs Lofty asserted that her husband employed a cabman and two othi-r men to entice her into a brothel, bat failed in his object. The men have admitted they were paid by him for such porpo-e. The prisoner was remanded to Auckland.
